Event Annex - The Senate Room
elcome, esteemed guests, to the Senate Room.
The rules of the game are simple. You have a word over your head that you cannot see, and the same word written on a piece of paper in an envelope that also contains a key. There is a door out of this room. Each key opens the door for only one person. You can see the words above others' heads, but you cannot say them, nor can you say any direct synonyms that might give it away too easily, nor can you spell the word or its synonyms. You must find other ways to describe it to allow the other person to guess. More abstract. Get creative with it.
If you believe you know the word, speak it aloud and open your envelope to retrieve your key. If you are correct, you can leave without incident. If you are wrong, your organs will immediately fail and you will die.
Here are the words each participant has been assigned. Players can use them to refer to other players' characters to help them guess, and you can use them to check your answers when you guess, but you can also OOCly know your answer provided you don't use it to ICly cheat. Good luck.

Aloy looks up at the shockingly tall machine-man, grateful to still have her Focus on. A little triangular, gem-like piece of metal on her left temple. Rubbing the carved bone pendant at her chest, she seems to study him, a small beam of light emanating from the device she was fortunate to barter from CT.
Television, her Focus declares through the holographic UI that only she can see. Underneath are some additional tidbits. Cathode-Ray Tube variety. Estimated manufacture year: 1989-1994. Make: Unknown, resembles Toshiba or Samsung. AV connection type: Composite RCA. Screen Dimensions: 27 inches. Neat. All gibberish, but neat. Most of the technology Aloy had seen back home had years listed as 2030 or higher, so if he's from a year beginning with 19, that makes him a priceless ancient relic. And in such good condition.
"You're very optimistic," she remarks. It isn't a judgement.

Tenna startles — wherever his attention might have wandered off to, it's far from his most immediate surroundings — but he recovers quickly enough with another laugh.
"Ha, aha!! Well, you know! Somebody's gotta be a little optimistic around here, right!? So, it might as well be me...!!"
Just keep laughing; just keep smiling; just keep entertaining. Just don't think about the pall of permanence hanging over the head of every single person in this room like a cartoon anvil suspended by a fraying rope, and definitely don't think about the additional weight tucked away into his waistcoat — if he can manage that much, then...
"Ha... Heh..." Think about something else, Tenna; talk about literally anything else. He looks Aloy over, antennae bobbing up and down, and he realizes, somewhat belatedly: "Say, I don't think I've seen you around... You wouldn't happen to be new in town, would you?"
Granted, what he really means by 'seen around' is 'seen at the theater'... But, come on, who HASN'T stopped by his show at least once or twice by now? If Tenna can't pick this girl out from any of his audiences, then she MUST be new, right? Right. (Right?)

Aloy's people operate on a lunar calendar, rather than a formal written one. She's still getting used to Concordian months, calculated more for the sun and the harvest.
"I spent a good long while out in the woods, which is probably why we haven't crossed paths yet. I'm a hunter."
