Event Annex - The Senate Room
elcome, esteemed guests, to the Senate Room.
The rules of the game are simple. You have a word over your head that you cannot see, and the same word written on a piece of paper in an envelope that also contains a key. There is a door out of this room. Each key opens the door for only one person. You can see the words above others' heads, but you cannot say them, nor can you say any direct synonyms that might give it away too easily, nor can you spell the word or its synonyms. You must find other ways to describe it to allow the other person to guess. More abstract. Get creative with it.
If you believe you know the word, speak it aloud and open your envelope to retrieve your key. If you are correct, you can leave without incident. If you are wrong, your organs will immediately fail and you will die.
Here are the words each participant has been assigned. Players can use them to refer to other players' characters to help them guess, and you can use them to check your answers when you guess, but you can also OOCly know your answer provided you don't use it to ICly cheat. Good luck.

He glances over at CT. Just as reflexively, his gaze flicks to the word above her head before returning to her face.
"Can you See anything?"
no subject
CT sighs, already sounding exhausted. "Nothing. I can still feel the Eye, so we're not cut off, but— I'm getting nothing else."
Which isn't necessarily a surprise, but it sure would've been nice. Whatever Eligos thinks is her true nature, she's not eager to find out, especially based on the words she sees above others' heads... but she refuses to die in this room. She's come too damn far.
"Of course, I'm sure it's gorging itself up there anyway."

The best Gaeta can do is strategize and misdirect. He puts the pieces together; the Eye's the one that spots the pieces in the first place. With another glance to CT's word, "You want to try to work through it a little? Maybe if we both get out..."
The original plan's clearly a bust, but maybe they can scrape together a few pieces and regroup.

"It's worth a shot. I sure as hell don't plan to die in here. And there has to be a way to play this with... minimal risk."
Ways to indicate if someone's wildly off the mark without whatever magical limits have been put on them. Just saying any given word is obviously out of the question (she's already tried).
"And there's no countdown. Not visibly, at least. We shouldn't waste time, but..." They don't have to rush, either. Hopefully.

Though he can't imagine Eligos allowing them to loiter for too long. There's no point in such an elaborate setup if someone can just refuse to play the game.
He sizes up her word. "Honestly, your description isn't one I would've picked, but it's... someone you might use to describe a person who can't make up their mind?"
no subject
CT pulls a face. That... doesn't sound like the kind of thing she'd have expected, either. "What? Can't make up their mind about... what?"
