WELCOME POTLUCK

Greetings, residents! Those more observant sorts among you may have noticed a large influx of very crowded ferries. In order to welcome our new residents en masse, Town Hall is holding a potluck in Town Square. Please bring a dish if you are able and make a new friend!

All of our newest arrivals need only bring themselves. We look forward to welcoming you all into our community, and may your lanterns always be lit.

This event is open to all! In light of our new influx of prospective players following the Great Sail Migration, we've decided to offer a small public event to tide everyone over until the TDM this weekend.

Gaaaaaasp! Doggo! *Godly* doggo, no less! Ellarinne sees nothing odd about this; she fought by Goldrinn's side in the skirmishes on the Broken Shore, after all, and saw him reborn whilst on an errand for Chromie. Clearly this is some sort of Wild God, albeit an exceptionally powerful one invested with the power of the Light. She grins and holds out a slice of ham.

"Would my lad care for a taste?"

Ammy grins. Now here's someone who gets it. "Why indeed I would!" And then she's in 'grab food from the air' pose, poised and ready.

A playful deity indeed! Ellarinne laughs -- the sound short and somewhat rusty, but whole-heartedly sincere -- and tosses it into the air. Rather high into the air, actually. Higher than a normal dog could easily jump.

But of course Ammy isn't a normal dog at all, is she? No, she's really quite extraordinary.

Oh, Ammy makes a normal jump... and then with a little pause, in the air, she jumps again. Off of the nothing. It even creates a little ring of flowers around her! She grabs the ham and does a little flip and lands, picture perfect, ham in jaws, before the ham is very much devoured.

She gives Ellarine a doggy grin, and a wink.

"Oh, magnificent!" Ellarinne is more than happy to give that the applause it deserves. "A perfect double jump! And the flowers! How beautiful. My lady is truly a master of both acrobatics and aesthetics."

Alas, that was the only large cut of meat on her plate. Night elves, if left to themselves, tend to use meat more as a flavoring agent than the centerpiece of their cuisine. So she puts her hands on her thighs and bows her head instead, saying, "This one's name is Ellarinne. Might I know my lady's name?"

Amaterasu returns the bow with a tilt of her head and a smile. "Okami Amatarasu, but I prefer Ammy, really." Ellarinne is definitely going on Ammy's list of favorite people. She certainly knows how to treat a Goddess!

Of course she does! Night elves are a very devoted people, and Ellarinne has even closer experience with her goddess than many.

"Ammy, then." Ellarinne smiles and holds out her hand. "Would you like head pats, Ammy?"

"Without question, always." Ammy bumps her nose against Ellarinne's hand, tail wagging thoroughly enough to stir up a little breeze.

So cute! Ellarinne scratches the goddess behind her ears and pets her head, cooing over with delight. Such a good dog! Such a good dog!!
