[OPEN]

Who: Thrawn ([personal profile] admiralchiss) & YOU

What: Thrawn explores this new world he's found himself in.
When: Month of July
Where: Library and Town Plaza
Warning(s): TBA

The Library
Thrawn figures that a good place to start is the library. Some from his galaxy might be confused at the lack of datapads and digital books, but Thrawn's seen and even read such books before. There's a few worlds in the galaxy that still make books like this. He also knows how to use a card catalog, which he's currently flipping through.

"Let's see, art history..."

Town Plaza
He makes for an odd sight at the moment. Because he's standing at the edge of the Town Plaza, staring at the Temple of Sacred Roots, like some kind of blue statue. His face is one of concentration as he takes in the architecture, absorbing the details and reading it like he does any kind of art. It's an important structure, he can tell right off the bat, dedicated to gods of nature, perhaps.

"Interesting architecture."

"Are any of the remaining artisans local? I was under the impression that most of the population had come here from elsewhere, pulled in to help sustain the town." But he'd only been here a short while, he doesn't have a solid understanding of who's indigenous to the location or not.

Imbros floats over to the history section to further his own research, "Do let me know if you find anything about local geography, either historic or modern. I'm trying to ascertain more about the landmass that can be seen from the pier."

"Only that there must have been trade between the two of them at one point before the barrier. It'd be interesting to find out what exports were traded between them. That might inform if that barrier was erected by an external force, for economic reasons." He pulls one of the books off the shelf, skimming the table of contents as he speaks, "Or prove that it wasn't that at all. Eliminating possibilities is equally as important."

"Appreciated." He peruses the shelves for while, picking through the titles looking for anything that might be informative. Gathering them up in his arms and his tentacles, glancing back at his fellow researcher as he leaves, "May your ambition be rewarded."
