Believe, Believe, the Dragonborn Comes [Open]

Who: Finn Onaru ([personal profile] fireandhoney) & Anyone

What: Finn gets used to his new surroundings.
When: Late May
Where: Downtown
Warning(s): TBA

When going downtown, it might be hard to miss the new face. He's about 5'9", has grey skin, pointed ears, long black hair, and is on the skinny side. He's dressed in a grey tunic and pants, with a teal robe over it, and worn black boots. He also speaks with a British accent, and has a slightly raspy voice. Like someone who's inhaled ash throughout his childhood.

Finn still isn't entirely unconvinced that this isn't some plane of Oblivion. Though if it is, it's like no plane he's ever read about. Maybe it's part of Sanguine's domain. It's far too organized to be part of the Shivering Isles.

As he explores downtown, he slips into a nearby clothing store, figuring he might as well look for a change of attire.

The elf eyes a black jacket and matching pants, holding it up to himself just to get an idea of what it would look like on him.

---

Later, he makes his way to a local tavern, to grab a drink and perhaps some food. He sits at a table, and idly wonders aloud to himself, "I don't suppose I could get a good Dunmer wine? Or some grilled grasshoppers. Probably asking for too much."

"From what I understand, that is very much the case. There are people here whose worlds are untouched by magic. There are a myriad of gods and spirits, a myriad of races, more stories to tell than there are stars in the sky."

"Even without music, those worlds are still full of sounds, and the heavens are still full of stars, some of them hungry and crushing and all-consuming. That they exist without magic is perhaps a greater source of awe than any feat of sorcery would be. There is a man here who knows them well." She's talking about Siebren, of course.

There’s a loooooong pause.

“Yes. I… traveled by the Dragonborn’s side, before the events that brought me here.”

A beat.

"In which era?" Because her Dragonborn is, funnily enough, also called the Last Dragonborn.

“… what year, muthsera?”

There's a looooong pause.

"I think we may hail from different kalpas. You see, I also kept the company of the Last Dragonborn, in the Fourth Era, in the 201st year. And she was an Imperial by the name of Skadi Nanagia. This I am sure of. Of this, I have no doubt. But I do not think you confused or mad, muthsera. Now that you have told me your truth, the measure in your voice is plain to hear. You speak with a dragon's inheritance."

"Skadi herself comes from another history. We were both young during the coming of the Nerevarine, but she and I remember events very differently." Or rather, the people she's spoken to remember events different. She wasn't perceiving much of anything at the time.

"I wouldn't be surprised if your grandmother met the Nerevarine. From what I understand, she traveled a lot. I actually had the honor of meeting her myself, briefly, at a shrine to Azura in Skyrim."

"Neloth... I believe I may have heard that name in passing somewhere. For being so isolated, the Telvanni do have quite a way of making a name for themselves."
