[Closed, Backdated] Lights will guide you home
Who: Angel and Ginko
What: A demonstration
When: Immediately post-return to Marrow Island from April Event
Where: Eventually, the Temple of Sacred Roots
Warning(s): Injury discussion
Angel's glad that he has Ginko with him, as he makes his way from where the Limoncello docks back to the temple. Eddie can go straight to the farm and start assessing damage, while Angel takes care of business, leaning on Ginko's shoulder to make it to the nearest holy space.
(He's glad he doesn't need to trek all the way to Elsie's Tree or the dwarf temple down in Paradesium to heal. That would be wildly inconvenient. He might have had to ask John Rambo or someone for a piggyback ride.)
On the walk, he's quiet, unsure what to say. Ginko made it clear on the ship that he wasn't up to talking about it--whatever 'it' truly was, with him. So there's an awkwardness here. But not an unkind one. Angel's good at silence; he always has been.

"Guess you'd be a good person to ask if I ever have any questions about the gods around here, then," he says conversationally. "Where I'm from, if there are any, they don't seem nearly as involved, so at first I didn't really think to account much for their activity here."

He's glad to explain, especially since they're headed in the direction of the temple to begin with.

"...The woman who sees newcomers in," he asks hesitantly, feeling a little silly. He hasn't really talked about this with anyone else yet. "Would she be...?"

Angel sounds incredibly fond of her, for whatever reason.

He leaves it quiet for a while. "You did mention there were people worth making the effort for, but I'll admit I wasn't expecting one of those people to be a goddess. This place takes more getting used to than I thought."
