WELCOME POTLUCK

Greetings, residents! Those more observant sorts among you may have noticed a large influx of very crowded ferries. In order to welcome our new residents en masse, Town Hall is holding a potluck in Town Square. Please bring a dish if you are able and make a new friend!

All of our newest arrivals need only bring themselves. We look forward to welcoming you all into our community, and may your lanterns always be lit.

This event is open to all! In light of our new influx of prospective players following the Great Sail Migration, we've decided to offer a small public event to tide everyone over until the TDM this weekend.

Perhaps this place will see fit to return Max to her, perhaps then she can have what César has once again.

"Well, I'm sure Erik would enjoy hearing about it more than I. But I'd love to visit your farm sometime."

Funny thing, about that....

"I'm sure Erik's going to get an earful, poor man." César chuckles, glancing back up. "And you should! I heard rumors that newer folks will get paid for helping."

Valdis laughs.

"I'm afraid I'm not much for getting in the dirt, but if there are other ways to help, let me know."

"... hmm, that does make it harder." César thinks for a long moment before he comes up with a workable idea. "Pretty much most things are dirty on the farm. Maybe you could walk around the grounds looking for anything out of sorts or dangerous? You can stay on the grass and avoid any mud. It's always good to have a second set of eyes on everything."

Valdis laughs, "I'm not a total princess, just not really suited to farm life. If you have animals, I can help with them, or perhaps I can bring water to the people working in the fields. A more supportive role as it were."

"Most of the animals still need more training before I'd let someone else handle them, unless you're good with a horse. Other than the chicks, and they're at my house." He shrugs. "But I could really use a fresh set of eyes to look around the farm. Things just all look fine if you've continually stared at them."

Valdis arches a brow, half tempted to tease him about judging a book by its cover, but she just smiles.

"I'm happy to do that for you."

"Perfect! I'll let you know when I've hammered out a proper schedule." He smiles a bit guiltily. "It's a little too intense right now, so I'll... be dialing it back. And I'm off tomorrow entirely."

Magne definitely saw where it was going and immediately put an end to it, and it's only more obvious because he starts to turn his head in her direction.

"Just contact me on the sending stone, my time is flexible."

"I will." César nods and smiles. "The fresh air will do you good. It's a nice place, lots of greenery. And safe."

"Safe is usually helpful, yes."

Not that she needs protecting.

César considers for a moment, then laughs a little. "... okay, I'm going to assume that's not important to you because I'm surrounded by a lot of powerful people, here. I'm just about a baby druid."

Valdis smiles. "Well, I'll leave you to it. Just let me know when you need me."

César smiles right back. "I will. Thank you. Valdis. I should head out to chat with some other folks. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the farm."
