WELCOME POTLUCK

Greetings, residents! Those more observant sorts among you may have noticed a large influx of very crowded ferries. In order to welcome our new residents en masse, Town Hall is holding a potluck in Town Square. Please bring a dish if you are able and make a new friend!

All of our newest arrivals need only bring themselves. We look forward to welcoming you all into our community, and may your lanterns always be lit.

This event is open to all! In light of our new influx of prospective players following the Great Sail Migration, we've decided to offer a small public event to tide everyone over until the TDM this weekend.

Ah- She worked that out right away? Ryja wonders if Elsie has foresight as well. "It does. Without it, I can hardly bear to be seen." A little pause. "It is not so much a rule as an encouragement. A gift for everyone here, but especially the new arrivals. I would love to visit your tree, and learn where to forage here. Perhaps I can share something in return?" Perhaps one of the ways the Green Word bids Viera to care for the forest.

Not as such, but she does know that showing her face out here in public takes a lot of courage for her, too. She hasn't done it much recently. So, she nods and makes a knowing "Mm" sound with her lips pressed tight together.

"Gifts." She hums again, and her pressed lips twitch almost to a smile. Helping each other is good. It's much better to support each other. Her chin dips as if she's just decided something.

"Yes. Share."

"Then I shall visit." And she can enjoy the forest at last, again. Or she will try her best to do so, at least. She's properly armed now, at least, and should something happen, she will be able to handle it.

"I look forward to it." There's cheer in her voice, even. She'll bring a ritual, she'll bring whatever she can find on the way there, learn what is what from someone who knows, in addition to the books she read.
