WELCOME POTLUCK

Greetings, residents! Those more observant sorts among you may have noticed a large influx of very crowded ferries. In order to welcome our new residents en masse, Town Hall is holding a potluck in Town Square. Please bring a dish if you are able and make a new friend!

All of our newest arrivals need only bring themselves. We look forward to welcoming you all into our community, and may your lanterns always be lit.

This event is open to all! In light of our new influx of prospective players following the Great Sail Migration, we've decided to offer a small public event to tide everyone over until the TDM this weekend.

"Somethin' warm? I think I can do that."

Arthur skims the nearby tables, and, fortunately, they're not too far off from the warmed cider that the local grocer provided. That'd certainly do it, wouldn't it? (He's hoping this isn't an allusion to blood, but maybe if it is, she'll just hang out with the cider until he's out of view. Polite company for something you're not going to eat and all that.)

He doesn't have to step far to grab it, and he glances over, offering a crooked smile at the compliment. He's learning how to smile less like a scowl... slowly!

"Well, that's mighty kind of ya to say. It's a special occasion to get this many new folks around, so I s'pose it just felt right for everybody to do somethin'. How's it been treatin' you, so far?"

She takes a sip of the warmed cider pretty much immediately, and visibly relaxes a touch. A vampire of her age can barely taste human food, and it gives her no benefit, but the warmth is a comfort on its own.

"I have been treated well." Keziah lifts the mug in a toast to him, smiles, and says, "Case in point. Please call me Keziah, and how may I address you?"

"Arthur Morgan," He introduces himself, with a little tip of his hat in return to the raised glass. "I ain't been here for all too long, but me n' the other folks around here are easy to get a hold of if you need anything."

A glance down the tables, and he lowers his voice, quiet and playful.

"Hope you don't mind eccentricities none," He draws out the word for emphasis. "But folks here are a might strange. Nice enough, but there's never a dull moment, I'll tell ya that much."
