WELCOME POTLUCK

Greetings, residents! Those more observant sorts among you may have noticed a large influx of very crowded ferries. In order to welcome our new residents en masse, Town Hall is holding a potluck in Town Square. Please bring a dish if you are able and make a new friend!

All of our newest arrivals need only bring themselves. We look forward to welcoming you all into our community, and may your lanterns always be lit.

This event is open to all! In light of our new influx of prospective players following the Great Sail Migration, we've decided to offer a small public event to tide everyone over until the TDM this weekend.

César laughs quite a bit, then teases. "I see you know what you're getting into. From the pepper plant that Eddie gave me."

"He grows peppers for me." And this is an expression of love. "Because I only taste loud flavors. Erik thinks my palette might grow over time. But right now, spicy and fermented and sour are best."

"He did mention that. I can taste subtle flavors, but I've missed the loud." César's smiling so brightly. "I mixed in pepper with the cheese and not just the salsa."

[graveling]

"It's amazing. It tastes like love."

Okay, exaggerating a little for comedic effect, but like. He is very happy right now.

César's smile does waver for a moment. "It's street food from Mexico City. Easy to make for when people suddenly drop in. Mama taught me how to make it. It just seemed... fitting."

[graveling]

"It's really good. Your mama taught you well."

And Angel would devour all of the spicy ones, given half the chance. Which is why he's not going to give himself the chance.

César breathes, then laughs. "Yeah, she did. And I'm really glad I listened to her and learned them. I've been writing them all down so I don't forget when I have a spare moment."

[graveling]

"Well. If you ever want someone to taste test the hot stuff, let me know. Please? Pretty please?"

César nods firmly and claps Angel on the shoulder. "You will be one of the first to know, I promise."
