First Aid giggles outright before gently putting his arms around Chris in a warm hug. "It's no trouble at all. I just want you to feel better."

He carefully rests the flat of his chin on Chris's head with a quiet sigh. "I'll be thinking of you the whole time, just so you know. I wish I could take a bunch of pictures so you could see it too."

"It would. And I can put the food away for you too. But first, maybe drink some of the soup? I know I don't need to tell you to stay hydrated, but it would still make me feel better." His voice is light and a little self-deprecating. He knows, he knows he's being fussy! It's because he cares.

"I'll get it." First Aid gently pats Chris on the shoulder in thanks before fetching a glass down from one of their cabinets and filling it with water. "Thank you for letting me take care of you." Doctors make the worst patients; it's a cliche because it's so true. Ratchet would probably have thrown something by now, in Chris's place.

"Do you have any medicine you want to take before you go back to bed?"

First Aid checks the list with a thoughtful little hum. "Let's do a half dose, to help you fall asleep," he decides; it is a little early, but Chris will heal more quickly if they can sleep without their own coughing waking them up.

He carefully measures out the medicine and writes the dose and time down on the piece of paper, his handwriting plain but legible (which is a lot more than you can say for a lot of organic doctors) and delivers it to Chris with a gentle pat on their hand.

"I can't kiss you goodnight, so please imagine it for me," he jokes affectionately. "Get well soon."
