Note: The folks I listed up top are those who I figure would be most interested or involved in the farm upgrade. No pressure to actually tag in or thread, but know you can hop in if you like! And just because I didn't tag your character is not to exclude you, all are welcome :)

OPEN to ALL - Expanding the Farm

Eddie's farm is being expanded. Supplies for building a new greenhouse are being carted out to Northwest Hollow (under the direction of experienced porter Sam, perhaps) and some of the neighbors are assisting in the construction of that.

There's also a pen being in the barn, for keeping the new nanny goat. And a larger coop for the chickens, now that a rooster is being added to the flock. Lot of building going on. Eddie is at least starting all of it, but he'll also be going to and from each work site as they ask his opinions on things.

OPEN to ALL - Not a Day, but a Few Hours of Rest At Least

Or perhaps you have arrived afterward, when an exhausted Eddie has flopped onto the settee and made the executive decision of 'I'm going to sleep here and to hell with it if my back hates me in the morning'.

Feel free to cajole him into eating supper and doing other self care things.

CLOSED to ANGEL - Home

Angel is always welcome at the farm, of course. He's got new animals to meet, for one thing -- maybe these will like him?

He may have showed up during the day and assisted with the various construction projects, but it's not until evening that Eddie and Angel will have time alone together. Still... time alone with Angel is something that Eddie treasures.

Well, this immortal spider creature hasn't killed a single human that he knows of for certain, and would appreciate not being lumped in with some other existential horror, thank you.

"And I am certainly strange, there's no arguing that," Tarantulas admits with a small smile of his own. "I only hope that in time people will learn to look past my appearance and judge me by my deeds. I am quite eager to prove myself, after all."

He carefully pushes his chair back and stands up from the table. "Shall we go? The day's not getting any longer, after all."

PTSD is not rational but Eddie is trying to be.

"Humans fear what we don't know," Eddie says softly as he walks toward the door.

"You all taste so much better when you're afraid!"

When Eddie shudders, as he opens the door, it's not because of any late autumn chill. But he holds the door for his guest politely. 'He hasn't hurt you yet, he likely doesn't want to hurt you. He hasn't been a thing like Pennywise. You'll be fine,' Eddie tells himself, as he leads the way to the barn.

Missy the horse, as it happens, takes one look at Tarantulas and her ears pin back stiffly, tail switching about with nervous, fearful energy.

"Oh dear." Tarantulas stops in the doorway, gazing from the horse to Eddie and back uncertainly.

"Perhaps I should walk myself back after all. I don't want to inconvenience you." And, frankly, he'd rather not find out what it feels like to be trampled by an ungulate. Those hooves are rather large and solid-looking...

"I am sorry. She gets like this sometimes. Angel freaked her out pretty bad the first time she saw him." And that's a sincerely apologetic smile sent his way.

Eddie goes to calm the mare down, making sure that he blocks her sight line to the person that freaked her out, and making soothing noises before gently touching her neck. As he stands there, stroking Missy's neck to calm her, Eddie comments,

"I don't think I got your name. But I won't keep you any longer than getting that. Sorry about Missy."

"It's fine," Tarantulas says softly, already sidling away from the doorway. "It can't be helped." He chuckles quietly. "My name is Tarantulas. I hope we'll meet again under better circumstances, Mr. Kaspbrak." And then he's off, walking back to the woods as fast as his two humanoid legs can take him.

Here's a fun fact about spiders: shapeshifting horrors from beyond the stars are one thing, but in real life? All arachnids are actually very shy and skittish.
