In that case, having First Aid administer Erik's medical exams and any necessary treatment is obviously the better choice. He just doesn't understand why Chris is bringing it up now.
"I still have so much to learn about humans," he says with a quiet sigh. "And vampires. I'm not sure we even had any of those on my version of Earth. We had priests, but I never talked to them very much."

"Oh, nothing that official. I don't even know if he'd be interested in pursuing something like that." Chris looks contrite. "I can stop talking about it, if you'd rather keep a separation of business and personal. I didn't push back when you said you'd take Erik's case because we're sort of in a grey area."
The mention of priests gets a look that's equal parts amused and confused. "Are you equating men of the cloth with creatures of the night? Or is it just general confusion for all the categories humans like to sort themselves into?"

His tone is sympathetic, maybe even a little mischievious. He continues, "Anyway, aren't priests and vampires part of the same spiritual system? They certainly seem that way, in the movies."

Chris rolls up one of their sleeves, a sheepish look on their face. "He's the only one that's shown any interest in me, but... better safe than sorry. You can draw my blood to test, too."
At the follow-up question, Chris snorts. "Catholics do tend to focus on 'the precious blood' a lot." Sure, it specifically means 'the precious blood of Jesus' but it can still look pretty funny out of context.
