To say Sam jumped when he gets elbowed is an understatement. He hadn't been expecting anyone to walk up to him, his first mistake, let along Gerry. He stuck blinking at the guy for a long moment before shaking his head.

The last bit should put him at ease but instead now Sam just feels like an idiot for being jealous over Alice and a friend going to a stupid festival together. He was acting like an idiot and for once instead of denying it all and trying to avoid it Sam just sighs, letting his shoulders sag.

"You know, I wasn't going to say anything...it's not...I'm not that obvious am I? Because if I am tell me now so I can leave early and protect what little pride I have left."
