"Yeah?" He swallows some of his wine and immediately regrets it, why did it have to be such a dry fucking red wine? He should have seen if there was something else, maybe just some punch or something. Or one of those teas. Or not. Depending on the tea it might have been a bad idea.

And then Alice brings up Gerry and there is a flicker of something. He doesn't want to be angry or have any negative feelings when it comes to the guy! He's nice and while he's completely different than the Gerry he met back home he's still someone that Sam wouldn't mind getting to know. But it's there, for a split second there is a flash of jealousy in those eyes. A look that Alice might actually know and one she can revel in all she wants if she actually wants to.
