"Oh yes. It's a merrow ability, you see, to make material out insubstantial things, and then use the material to make our magic caps or cloaks. Then we can change our shape." Heather gives a small, sheepish smile. "I don't know exactly what I need so that I can change back from this human shape to my merrow body, so I've been experimenting a lot. But even outside of shape-changing spells, I can work magic into the yarn and into the cloth. It takes well to most spells."
