The distraction works. Artemy is immediately enraptured with the book, he's studying it while nodding occasionally.

Latin is always a language he hated, so his unfamiliarity with xeno as a prefix makes sense, he supposes. Maybe he should ask Dankovsky about the word sometime. He'd probably have some thoughts about prefixes and the like.

"That'd be incredibly helpful, while I don't know how well my practices translate to modern times, being backwaters as it is, I still wish to know everything I can." Floating between being a skeptic while still deeply entrenched in his ways of healing and herbwork is something that he's grown to accept. He's not a modern man like Daniil at all, but not quite the traditional healer that his father was either.

"It is interesting that you've taken an old word and adopted it into something new, something better I'd wager." He dislikes the sound of xenophobia greatly, sounds similar to what he experienced living in the Capital, which wasn't that long ago, he remembers. Spinning that prefix into exploring new worlds, new planets, is something he's all about.
