Despite herself, one of those rare, nose-crinkling smiles spreads across her face as she laughs and says, "Well, good. I'll consider that a crowning achievement in gift giving."

She flips her bag shut again and folds her arms over it. "I did have to go on a bit of a trek, but I really just needed the excuse and it was worth it. I know when you lose a colony there's countless things you end up missing, and since we have the chance to get at least a little something back..."

She shrugs. There's a lot more things that you'll never see again, but why not take advantage of this odd little window into the past.
