This is the most significant holiday of Mulcahy's religion, and for the first time since they've known each other he is free to mark the occasion as he sees fit without violent interruption or sinister authorities to placate. Of course the Fuelweaver comes to observe his friend fulfilling his calling at Midnight Mass.
