((OOC: I haven't gotten around to writing it yet, but Rex will be attending mass with César since Mulcahy is open-minded so that Rex is like "huh, I actually want to go". So he'll be at the dinner after, too! Figured I'd mention since this happens after that.))

Rex blinks and looks up when someone joins him. He notices the lapel. There's an easy smile on his face, and it takes him a moment more to place who it is.

"Yeah. I'm cool. Just felt weird being one of the only ones without knowing anyone close to me that died. And if I did, I've forgotten them." His amnesia didn't come up during the Réveillon dinner after Mass; it's a bit of a downer.
