"Oh, you mean like Co?" John asks--because that is, in fact, a thing she has been known to do when she gets berries as treats around the house. Dad does not eat properly, and ever suspicious of the humans that are Dad's favorites, often times one must be careful around the Baker Ranch house not to squish a random berry by stepping on it or setting a plate or pot on top of it when Co is puttering around the kitchen with her treats, dropping them at the table setting or the feet of the humans around her who clearly need her help to stay well fed.
"Cause I can absolutely see that--could be a thing that happens. Helga's real food motivated, and Westie's kind of a big puppy when he wants to be."
Westie being Westmore, the second stallion John acquired when he upgraded the farm.
"Putting those two together over Helga and Danforth could get you a horse that likes to share. Whatcha think? Wanna try it? Or try Helga with Danforth--he's real good at finding his way home when he goes wandering. Could pass it on to a foal."
