"And I'm in the same boat, been busy." He glances over his shoulder, hearing some sharp, distant utterance of Radar's voice, and something that sounds vaguely like Edgar answering back, making him smile with unabashed affection.
"Got a couple glorious handfuls to look after." he continues, turning back to his water. He sets his jaw, reaches for his glass, brings it to his lips--
--and after a moment, sets it down without actually drinking as his throat closes up.
