apocryphalarchivist: ([Surprised] what??)

For a few moments, perhaps a few minutes, he simply stands there and feels. They move, and he feels their movements - they're truly his own, foreign as they might be. The eyelessness--- which he confirms with great anxiety--- simmers down to a mere unease.

He doesn't need eyes to see; were he without the removal of the Eye's influence in his dreams, it might have scared him more. But, for now, the sounds guide him.

Trying to work around his strange new appendages as best as he can (which is a challenge, really - they've got a bit of a mind of their own), he pulls on his robes. He breathes deeply, soothing his nerves - whenever he fidgets, or shifts, the bells ring out in the room, and they do wonders all on their own to calm him.

It's only when he's finally collected himself does he move to the door. The sounds in the room have painted it so clearly; even though he cannot see, he manages to find the handle with minimal fumbling, and opens it gently, seeing himself out.
