Jon gets little time to scrutinize her hands before the hum pulls him away from it. Even if the sound itself wasn't distracting (which it very much is), the feeling of hum crawling into his person, vibrating to his core, certainly would have been. It catches his breath in his throat, and for a moment, he's terrified. He's never felt anything like it in all his life.
And then, she speaks. He isn't sure how, but she does - and he listens.
It's difficult to stop his mind's racing, but he does his best. He wants to see, to understand. He doesn't speak, for fear of interrupting the hum, but takes in a slow, shaky breath, lets it out, and allows his eyes to slowly and gently fall closed.
