Neil snaps back to reality with a smile. "Yes, of course. I'd be happy to fill you in on all the details."

Martin nods. "That sounds helpful, thank you."

Neil then proceeds to give Martin an overview of the demons. What they are, what they do, the royal family and its function, and how they've been impacting the island. Martin listens intently, using the exposition to eat the rest of his food.

"I see," he finally says as Neil finishes. "Thank you, for explaining all of that, Neil. I appreciate you getting me up to speed. And this has been a really lovely dinner."
