You would never believe Radar's an Army corporal with the tiny, startled hiccup he makes when Angel swears. He tries to turn it into a cough, with minimal success, and furiously wrenches his brain back on topic.
"Yeah, I guess so." It starts out a little squeaky, still, but he's got it together by the time the sentence ends. "It's just -- I just -- "
He's never talked about this with anybody but Hawkeye. And sometimes Trapper and BJ, but only when they were part of the "and Hawkeye" set. Radar holds up the clipboard to the side of his mouth so nobody can see what he's saying, and drops his voice to an outright whisper. (And if you thought he was red before... whew.)
"I get teased all the time about it. A-and it's not like I don't -- " He makes a few helpless gestures. "I like sneaking a peek in the nurse's showers, too, y'know? But then if the guys and me are down at Rosie's, and, and sometimes the chance comes up for all of us, I don't really feel like it even though I should feel like it. So they go off and I stay. You know?"
